Exile’s Journey is a dark fantasy RPG.
An exile by choice, Kniryk is now presumed dead in Landoria, his homeland. When a demon invasion threatens the Kingdom of Nysoroth, he finds himself in the midst of it. Can he redeem himself?
This game is a love letter to role-playing games as a whole, especially those from the 16-bit era.
Features:
Highly engrossing storyline - You'll be hooked playing as these characters, learning about their diverse backgrounds, and watching as they develop and solve their own personal conflicts.
Open ended gameplay - After an introductory section, you're allowed to complete the game's dungeons in any order you want!
Zelda-style dungeons - Each dungeon in Exile's Journey is meticulously crafted and designed, taking inspiration from dungeons in the Legend of Zelda series.
Numerous side quests - These side quests are optional, but without them you won't receive the game's best armor and equipment, or the game's only method of air travel! These side quests feature story lines of their own and offer a break from the game's main story.
20+ hours of gameplay - That sweet spot between too short and too long!
Extremely detailed world - This game takes doesn't allow you to travel the whole world, only the large and extremely detailed Kingdom of Nysoroth. After playing and learning of the country's cultures and history you'll feel like a true Nysorothian!
Weapon upgrade system - Some weapons will almost never become obsolete thanks to this!
No random encounters - see enemies on the map before engaging them!
Treasure tracking - The game keeps track of all the treasure you've found in the main dungeons! Find all treasure chests to obtain a special reward!
Three act structure - The game is divided into three acts, each thematically and structurally different.
For fans of Final Fantasy, Zelda and Dark Souls.

Is there any way to adjust the sound volume? I want to play the game somemore and chat to my buddies on discord but its soooo loud
Bug report (minor spoiler ahead): the Wind Bow, found in a chest near the end of a certain temple, is not added to the inventory. (I hope it is an isolated case.)

You talked about Weapon upgrade system how do you do it or did you guys make a update and got rid of the Weapon upgrade system because I am on chapter 2 download a walkthrough and I still don't know how to upgrade weapons. I am giving this a game a one star if you going to make a game where you can upgrade weapons teach people how to do it

Hello. You need to extract the .zip file by right clicking on it and selecting "Extract All". Once it is extracted, click on the RPG_RT.exe icon to start the game.
Just opened the menu screen - I immediately noticed someone was a fan of the band Windir. The title melody sounds the same as Todeswalzer, haha
Yes, indeed! You will notice other midi-ized metal songs in the game as well.
The man in the banner art is loding the recorder backwards. Was that intentional?

love this game. been playing round the clock. Ran into a problem and wondering if you know of a fix. I am in Act 3 so I don't want to give spoilers. I keep hitting the same point where the main action freezes but the background graphics and music continue to run. I can't move my character, the enemies don't move. I can't access the menu. I have to force quit out of it. Unfortunately I don't have multiple saves so I can't go back to just before this to try again.
Any ideas?

Exile’s Journey seems to work great on Linux using Wine, here's a printscreen.
Tried it on Linux Mint 19.3 XFCE using Wine-staging 5.10.
