Hello, all! Thank you for supporting and playing Exile's Journey. I plan to release one final patch soon so that I can focus all of my free time on my next project, which is titled Memories From a Dream! Click here for more information!

Memories From a Dream is not a direct sequel to Exile's Journey, but takes place in the same universe, and will focus more on gameplay and exploration rather than dialogue and story. It will also be a bit shorter - I plan for it to take about ten hours to complete, but I have many features planned which will encourage multiple playthroughs. Although it's not a direct sequel, you may notice some references to Exile's Journey, and perhaps even see a few returning characters!

I began production on Memories shortly after the release of Exile. All of the advice, suggestions, and criticisms I received after releasing Exile's Journey has been taken to heart. You will notice many gameplay improvements and fixes in Memories, as well as various graphical enhancements such as full HD resolution and more advanced lighting. I also plan for Memories to be playable on mobile devices!

After I finish Memories From a Dream, which I hope will not take too long, I will begin work on a direct sequel to Exile's Journey. The sequel will feature Jespias as the main character. This sequel will chronicle his journey home, his search for a purpose in the world, and his growth as a person. I will be using the various systems I create for Memories From a Dream as an "engine" for the Jespias project which should help speed up development. For example, I will use the battle system from Memories as a foundation for the battle system for the Jespias project, and I will use the spells and classes from Memories when designing the Jespias project's characters.

I am toying with the idea of creating a Kickstarter or Patreon to fund-raise for the project.  The funds would be used mainly for graphical assets, and perhaps to pay other programmers and developers to assist with the project. This greatly benefit the development and final product. I've already invested a great deal of my own money into my games, but naturally, there's a limit to how much I am able to do this. I've never fund-raised or anything like this before, so I feel a bit weird about it. Let me know what you think and if you'd be willing to donate.
